Exploring the craft of writing

Words

The temple of art is built in words.

Josiah Gilbert Holland

I know of no better way to communicate with the world but through words; artists and photographers deal in images, both impressions and abstract, to create and convey ideas and meaning, but words are most comfortable to me.

I wallow in them. I tinker with them. I build them up in stacks that soar or tumble with their weight.

I listen. I hear the words in the silence of a day, in the song of a bird, or the chirp of a cricket.

This is my space to record the words that populate my world and my mind. I promise that I will not blog about my woe of the day or the politics of the moment, but I will write, in fiction and non-fiction, stories that capture and fill the moments of my life.

Thank you for sharing this space with me.
